Our bodywork therapies are designed to be incredibly relaxing and soothing, perfect for calming the mind, body and soul by taking time out from the hectic daily life. It is ideal for relief of stress, anxiety and for a general sense of well being.
These treatments can help almost anyone, especially as modern day living can be demanding both physically and mentally, and the ability to stop, relax and de-stress is more and more of a necessity
They have been used for centuries as an instinctive way to relieve muscle tension and to relax the body and mind. The way that we feel can have a direct physical effect on our body, so by inducing relaxation and stress relief both the body and mind can benefit from a massage treatment. Massage is a holistic approach that can be used alongside conventional medicines.
Regular massage clients may experience relief of discomfort with massage, and it may give them a “breathing space” so they can regain balance.
Massage can powerfully support changes that people want to make in their lives. This is where it can be a profound therapy, rather than just a “treat”.
Once we identify outcomes, we agree what kind of treatment should be provided, to address the issues. This may mean for the therapist, where to work, depth and speed, strokes to use or avoid, etc. For the client this means identifying what to focus on for the session, allowing freedom to breathe, and getting the environment right – music, lighting, temperature all play a part.
Massage Therapy is ideal for relieving tension in your body and letting go of anxiety and depression. Once a rich man’s luxury, massages are now widely available to anybody looking for muscular tension relief and some downtime and allow your body to feel completely rejuvenated and refreshed.
What is a massage-treatment? It is best described as the manipulation of muscles, tendons, and ligaments through a specialized technique of pressing and rubbing. However, you get a variety of different techniques. Massage therapy can range from light stroking, also known as aromatherapy, to pressurized, deep tissue tension relief.
