Will you diagnose what is wrong with me?

Reiki practitioners are not trained in diagnosis and will not offer any diagnosis or prognosis. If you are concerned about symptoms you should see your GP. Please note, that Reiki is not a substitute for medical care. You should consult with the appropriate health practitioner in case of any medical condition.

How will I feel after my Reiki treatment?

You may feel relaxed and peaceful after a Reiki treatment. You may feel tired but equally you may feel full of energy. Reiki can also stir up emotions as part of the healing process and some people experience what is known as a healing reaction, such as headache or flu-like symptoms, which are normally of short duration.

Which conditions can Reiki help?

It is possible to heal at any level of being: physical, mental, emotional or spiritual.

Can it be used in conjunction with conventional medicine?

Yes Reiki can be used safely in conjunction with allopathic or conventional medicine.  It may help to speed up recovery times and reduce some uncomfortable symptoms, such as after surgery.

Can it be combined with other forms of complementary medicine?

Reiki can complement many different forms of treatment and can often help smooth the healing process.  It is also reported to work extremely well in conjunction with homeopathy, acupuncture and counselling and can help support any healing process.

Is it suitable for children?

Yes, with parental consent, Reiki is suitable for children under 16.

Can it be used on any illness?

Yes, Reiki can be used on almost any illness but this does not mean everyone will be healed using Reiki. Reiki has successfully been used on a variety conditions like reducing stress, relieving pain, headaches, stomach upsets, back problems, asthma – PMT, menstrual problems, anxiety and more. Remember that you as an individual have to have the firm intention of getting well before any real healing can take place.
